Dearest Abha tai,
Today, we're celebrating you! As you enter another year with your iron clad armour, I swell with pride and am unable to hold back my tears at how far we've come. The last time we met, it was your 30th birthday! It's been four years that I've held my elder wand who now holds a miracle in her arms!
Although this wave of emotions has taken over me but I know that I truly have a bond so special, that despite the distance, despite the odds, grows fonder with every passing moment and is something to be cherished for a lifetime.
I miss you, more than words can say! I wish you were here and you could watch me grow all through graduation. I can now safely say that we've been apart, enough for me to become a doctor! (Ps: Here I was making lives better meanwhile you guys went ahead and created one!) But the truth is, you were there, just a phone call away, a text away irrespective of what you were going through, you've managed to make time for me and I could not be more grateful.
I've said it before and I'll say it again, everything I am is a reflection of you. So, I hope I've made you proud with the beginning of this new chapter. I am eternally grateful to have you, my older sister, my best friend, my whole life!
Something that cannot be left unspoken is how you've embraced motherhood! In your signature style of effortless but you've braved it like such! In moments of doubt and fatigue know this, that you are our sun and the light that you bestow upon her will always be enough. Ayana will always have your warmth and boundless affection. She may or may not need life lessons because she will grow up watching her parents who are every bit exemplary in all aspects of life.
All these years, you have been the epitome of strength and may it stay and grow but what I earnestly wish for you in the days to come is the gentleness and softness of life. May you experience all the many joys that come in the most wholesome manner possible! All things good will find you in the most unhurried and purest of ways.
You have seen a world without Jiya and I, but we wouldn't recognize ours without you! Thank you for a love so unconditional and selfless. Thank you for being the sheer joy of our lives and those around!
Happy birthday Abha tai!
I love you and we will see you super soon!
Yours forever more,
Jini
